>>13160468>As someone with 2 decades in construction I can tell you this isn't rare, most plans include a half dozen things that aren't physically possible when you consider a wrench needs to reach the bolt or the planned order of construction makes it impossible to get a crane in for later lifts.It's because civil engineers are college midwits with egos that have never actually built anything in their life and have no construction experience. They just learn how to put shit together in CAD.
Unfortunately in the real world, your parts can't seamlessly clip through matter or float in midair when you don't need it yet. Their designs work when assembled, but there is now way to get there without telekinesis.
In this case, those are some long, heavy rods with big ass bolts that needed to be threaded all the way up not once, but twice, and if even one thread gets bent or damaged in the process, the whole rod is scrapped and you have to start over.
