I've been delving slightly into quantum mechanics and I stumbled upon pic related.
Now, I get that particles/waves interfere with each other by both enforcing en cancelling each other out and thus creating the interference pattern.
But why is the same pattern recreated when a single particle/wave is fired at a time?
I've read some "explanations" that the particle/wave cancels itself out, but I've found no (beginner-friendly) explanation why or how yet.
What does /sci/ think?
