>>13155925Nah, I think it's fine. Especially in my case, the bound in my "project report" (what we're supposed to write for the BA) is a bit worse (n + 1) * e^{n / e} using a different approach for one of the lemmas. Then, last week my supervisor came up with an idea that we further developed to reach this better bound for the paper. Also, he typeset the paper, since I was/am busy with the project report and exams. Otherwise, it would have been another month until I had the time to do it myself.
>>13155934Why, can you elaborate on our experience a bit? I was considering going back for an MSc and PhD after a few years of work, so any stories about how it is would be helpful.
>>13155941Yeah, I expressed interest in working on some more academic work type thing for the project (which isn't normally expected) to a tutor at my college. Then, he put me in touch with my supervisor who suggested the topic. Was a bit of a gamble, would've been bad if I hadn't though of a way to improve the result from the literature, but turned out pretty good.
