>>13148718I guess I disagree with that first anon then, the instinct isn't to do what your parents did, just to replicate the environment you were in during an apparently succesful childhood, if I were to speculate on an environment where this makes sense it might look like some mammal having a desire to be back in the same forest it grew up in, or if that's not possible because of a climatic shift or competition, a forest very similar to it, since this is an environment known to be good enough for it to reproduce.
