The question is paradoxical and any mathematician, any TRUE mathematician knows it's an invalid question.
For how can we have two distinct answers that have the same value? What is there to distinguish A from D? For example, there are only three answers provided, so your odds are actually 33%. But you might say "there are four answers" no there are only three answers and four "options," but if two of the options are the same then what distinguishes them from each other?
Maybe the answer is A, B, C, or D, and thus there is a 25% chance in reality, because the answer could be A, since there can only be one answer, and to imply there is a 25% or 50% chance of being right means that there must be four available options, but there are only three available options.
The real best answer is B because the question is invalid.
The person asking the question assumes a role of authority, but they are not smart. I have out witted the question maker and exposed their flaws.
