>>13147390>Beauty is positively correlated with intelligencestuff like this makes me vomit and lets me know you've never genuinely experienced love
once you hit the state of grace in your love for someone, you realize true love is blind
and that we came up with interpretations for certain characteristics and how we felt about them first, and those were then projected onto people
meaning someone just looks a certain way
and then you have your experience with them. the way they look then gets stockpiled. extreme appreciation/love for someone who looks like X then begins to reflect your perception of those who look similar.
and any of this can be changed with extreme emotional surges, such as, again, the state of grace. im sure shock or terror could do it too.
still all subject to change. while we are, i guess you could say, in somewhat of a limbo between animal and something more, we are not entirely fixed by established biology this way.
i really despise the way we talk about "beauty" in the west
beauty is a state you achieve, also called "enlightenment". beauty is a -feeling- you project onto your environment and the people around you whereby you are able to finally see the beauty resonant in all.
beauty is an experience, not a look. and whatever took you to that state, or wherever you find yourself when you achieve it, will become beautiful.
beauty you're talking about is more like your past biology signaling health, potential environmental status or worth definition, etc.
in the animal kingdom we come across a black bear, we see 10 more black bears, chances are they're going to act pretty much the same.
that's obviously not the case for human beings since we have become more nuanced.
the more we think like this, desu, the more we just stay trapped in the past.
it has its uses while we are still producing and still concerned about threat responses, though.
