Thtead of retards. Taste and smell are ysed in tendem to create flavour. Taste is an incredibly basic sense of salty, sour, etc. The rest of flavour and most of the complexity comes from smell. Humans despite vommon misconception have an extremely complex, albeit weak, sense of smell, which is almost entirely used for food consumption. If your sense of taste is borked everything will be bland. If your sense of smell is borked everything will be bland.
