What if we built an Earth sized air conditioner that had its air conditioning ducts within the upper bounds of the atmosphere to effectively cool down the planet?
We could deal with the orbital dynamical problems later, this is mostly just a theoretical conjecture. It would work well wouldn't it?
You've got like a few billion tons of freon or whatever other coolant you could use and the lack of atmosphere outside of the air conditioner would dissipate such heat into the vacuum around Earth, and effectively you could air condition the planet...
