Why isn't basic cryptography, graph theory, algorithms, and other emerging fields included in high school math? Make calculus optional.
Calculus is trivial
People struggle with algebraic operations and then get confused when they are supposed to calculate derivatives, and of course they fail the integrals too. It would be good with a bit of a break so that people who maybe had a shitty home environment and bad teachers in middle school can see more of math.
Avoid formulaic approaches. Calculus is too easy to "memorize".
