Does the definition of Earth like planet need to be changed. The way I see it they have not found a single Earth like planet. Sure there are planets with a similar star, of similar mass and of similar distance from the star, but how many of those have a single abnormally large tidally lock moon? How many of those have huge gas giants in the system acting like a gravity vacuum protecting them from asteroids? I sure there are other characteristics of Earth and our solar system that make it extremely rare. Perhaps the Fermi Paradox needs to be re-examined to incluse these variables. Truth is there is no great filter, Earth and our solar system is an extremely rare occurrence, and a similar solar system has not been observed.
