There are barely any pictures of ANYTHING in astronomy because astronomy is nothing but applied statistical analysis which is the way we know about anything out there in the distant skies. No star except the sun (and Betelgeuse) has ever been actually pictured. They all appear as point like sources of radiation even to the most powerful telescopes.
Any actual pictures of space objects you've seen are mostly either artistic renditions or raw data mapped onto RGB colors in order to produce an image (like the 'Pillars of Creation' by hubble or the black hole image) and it's not the way it would actually look if you could observe it with your own eyes.
Exceptions, of course, are pictures taken by the space probes and telescopes observing something that is close or large enough to be imaged fully (such as Jupiter or the Andromeda galaxy)
