Lets give it a non zero possibility. As far as we know, life is restricted to carbon based structures that reproduce by chemical means. We know that all sorts of rocks and chemicals are electrically active, piezoelectric quartz and stuff. We also know that the conscious experience can be measured as cyclical electrical signals, propagated by neurons. Perhaps there is a naturally occurring complex crystal structure that could "think", for all we know it's possible.
Perhaps the structure is a gigantic metal core inside a planet, perhaps by changing electrical signals, it could control the flow of magma, Radioactive elements powering and charging the cyclical "thoughts".
Sounds unlikely, doesn't sound like a great existence, but as far as we know, it isn't 100% impossible.
