>>13127453We used to have one. Nothing as nice as in your photo but very functional. It was in a former warehouse/distribution center that had over 100 loading docks. Our space was at the very far end of the property in the building farthest from the gate and the farthest dock in the building. The building has been split up into lots of smaller space delimited by how many loading dock you had. We only had one loading dock but it was plenty of space for us and our equipment. We had a hangout space, design space, and production space. We even had roof access which we used for astronomic viewing.
It was great until the day Kyle showed up with his new girlfriend, the SJW. Unlike so many of them, she wasn't morbidly obese. She looked like she probably had meth for breakfast. Since she was the only woman around, she of course became the center of attention. Her and Kyle started hanging around a lot. Eventually she started bringing her other SJWs friends over, often without Kyle in tow.
It didn't take long before our resources were being used to make protest materials. Also lots of the equipment ended up broken, even stuff that had no use for making signs and whatever other shit they were doing. But we're tinkerers and were use to fixing things so they were mostly an annoyance.
The next thing was when they started claiming it was a sexist space and needed to make more room for women. The fucking morons in the group went along with this and suddenly almost everything was focused on helping women. The hangout space became a girl's space. The design space became an activist hub. Only the production space remained being used for its intended purpose.
As you'd expect for a large distribution center, it was located in an older industrial area. The residential areas nearby were all low income and high crime. The center had razor wire topped fencing all around it and secure gate access. (continued)
