There are many elementary number theory textbooks and they are mostly isomorphic, so just pick the one where you like the writing style.

Here is a good number theory problem. Try to solve it with googling.
A number $n \in \mathbb{N}$ is called perfect if
$2 n = \sum_{k | n} k$
For example for n = 6
$12 = 1 + 2 + 3 + 6$

Find the smallest odd perfect number.
