Hes contributed nothing to the fields of Topology or Number Theory. Hes contributed nothing to M-Theory, or anything to help humanity uncover the mysteries of dark matter or dark energy either. But for some reason Im supposed to be impressed that hes doing what NASA was able to do in the 60s with far less advanced tech, or that hes digging holes in the ground. Like seriously, humanity has been digging holes in the ground since forever. I find it laughable that digging holes in the ground is somehow considered innovative. It just shows that general society is unable to appreciate true movers of mankind like Ed Witten. The future of humanity lies in rigorous mathematical theory, not plug and chug application.
