You know that bi-layer 1.1 graphene that superconducts as high as 1.7K?
Have they tried surrounding the nanotubes (except the open ends, of course) with high-pressure air? Just regular old, high pressure air? My thinking is that the charge density waves are maintained by what amounts to a piezoelectric effect. If this is the case, shouldn't increasing ambient pressure facilitate CDW stability at even higher temperatures?
