Do all electrons reeeally have the same charge? I'm learning about identical particles in my QM course and it made me pause. We sorta accept that these distinct species of particles exist, but how do we know that electrons dont have slightly different charges, just too slight for us to measure?

Electron charge can be very accurate measured,, it is "fundamental constant" like speed of light. Natural unit of electriccharge, equal to 1.602176634 × 10?19coloumb (amount electrons shared in 1 sec under 1 ampere charge).

Measuring beyond this point proves difficult. It is extremely accurate very precise. All Electron show this same charge; if they have difference in charge, it is incredibly small. We don't have instrument to measure

We recently know electron get its charge through the quantum field allowing it to "hold" one positive charge state and one negative charge state at the same time, leaving its total charge zero. This process takes some energy, in case of an electron-positron pair a little over 1MeV.

If it was different, wouldn't they all be able to occupy the same orbital as another electron since they're fermions, but a different charge makes them different? (Apart from spin differences)

OP may be onto something... Electrons can jump in and out of different energy states, so obviously they have varying energies.

Secondly, electrons are manifestations of the particles in the next lower phylum, which in the electron's case, is the neutrino. Protons are positive, they attract the neutrinos (causing gravity) and the neutrinos achieve critical mass to conjure an electron. That is really, actually how it works, and it's the reason why quantum leaps are not instantaneous as was previously thought.

Exciting an electron to an excited state requires an energy input and the decay back to the ground state releases energy.
