I wish I had a stereo microscope myself to properly identify these mosquitoes that are very likely and exclusively Culex pipiens. Got a few more samples of bees, earthworms and millipedes. Focus on insects and other arthropods, really fun to observe. Best of luck.

your blood. Whats the actual magnification power? I bought one of these cheap USB ones to do that kinda crap and was really disapointed. I knew it wouldnt be enough to see cells or anything like that, but even up close, under perfectly lit conditions its still only like a 40x magnification... So you can see minor etches on a coin that would otherwise be *VERY* hard to see with the naked eye... and clogged pores on your face(that shit is gross. And popping them with a lance really drills down the idea that you really should NEVER intentionally cut your skin, cause the damage to it post-popped zit looks WAY worse than prior) but none of the really cool shit.

OP here. Collected a lot of insects and plants from the yard. I was able to see sperm and red blood cells but had to focus very carefully as this microscope only has 40x magnification. I’m loving this thing and highly recommend anyone even remotely interested in microscopy to go for it!

For a hundred bucks you can get a monocular compound microscrope, and for like fifty you can get Giemsa stain, methylene blue, Gram stain. Do some real microscopy.
