Professional degrees make more than phds so never do a phd.
What professional degrees are available to us who have a masters in sciences?

Look into becoming a European patent attorney.
I looked into it too.
Seems like a good deal. I wasn't eligible as I studied math which is fucking useless.

MBA isn't a professional degree. JD, MD, DO (in the US), PharmD, DDS, DVM, OD and I think MDiv are professional degrees. Basically, post-baccalaureate degrees that prepare someone for a single profession.

I'm in the middle of my MD, it sucks ass. JD's make way more money and are way less effort as long as you go to a T14 school. I also highly recommend looking into cardiac perfusion, it's a technical school but starting salaries in CA are all ~$150k.

A "professional degree" is just a post higher-educational credential like an engineering licensure or accreditation. Something like Eur. Eng. in Germany I believe. You basically get it in the natural progression of your career especially if you work af proper companies like VW, SAP, BASF etc.

The way you would interpet that graph is "careers that have professional standards pay more" which is obvious. Most degree holders are not professionals or are underemployed. Most PhDs are in worthless fields dragging down the average.

In general it is how you expect, successful careers in industry lead to high earnings (and these people usually get professional degrees), people who stay in academia longer have lower lifetime earnings etc.
