if we interacted with another intelligent species of life, alien but at least roughly equivalent to ourselves in mental capacity, what would their math look like?
the way we handle equations, and have "found" certain relationships we consider valuable, like pi, and square roots, and calculus. is there a way for math to be different? or would we almost certainly have similar understandings of patterns?
is it inherent to the system, or is it something we have created?
