is high iq following a kind of brain drain to industry a problem? Seriously there is so much potential working to further us ever deeper into a postcapatalistic dystopian collapse instead of leading innovation for the good of humanity. I also blame academia for pandering towards industry and that it is too beurcratic and authoritarian, in the sense that many aren't 'free' to learn what really interests them but have to go through a processes of curriculum learning and spend years climbing a heirachy ladder.
