>>13094305>>13097262Yeah I tend to view psychedelic experiences as a new way of looking at things but not neccesarily a true depiction of anything, some people think of it as the true state of things, the senses stripped back showing a more raw reality.
I don't know about that, maybe, its hard to prove or disprove.
I think if anything its maybe more like a distorted version of the reality your mind creates in its normal state, and yes you definitely see things you can't really even properly imagine in your normal state.
For instance I tend to see the shape of reality warp, it FEELS like you're seeing higher spatial dimensions, or maybe something like a hyperbolic geometry projection of reality.
Whether or not it actually is those things you're seeing is questionable but it certainly seems like it when you're there.
I do think it genuinely helped me visualise some aspects of geometry which I previously found hard to imagine - but again, those interpretations could be wrong, a trick of the mind. I tend to stay fairly lucid even on high doses though.

I take LSD maybe four times a year, I like to just sit and think about things, maybe write down my thoughts or try to draw what I'm seeing. I think in heavy moderation it really can be an insightful look at your own psyche. Nothing magic, just introspection.
