>What's the job market like for you?I think it's good. But you can't stop at the bachelor's. You have to waste your life in the lab and writing. The master's is looked at like a participation trophy, but you still learn a lot if you take it and I had a decent job offer in industry I turned down when I got it.
>Is it worth it?If you're interested in synthetic chemistry, no. You'll work like a dog for an extremely competitive job market and have little to show for it. Anything else in chemistry is better. Also, you can be a midwit, and it's fine. Overall, it's a decent field ,with decent prospects. If you're into it, it's good enough, and a lot more relaxed than most science fields (as long as you aren't orgo. Those guys are screwed).
