Once 4chan had established that reputation a lot of people showed up in an attempt to share our glory without ever having contributed an infinitesimal of wit to the cause themselves.
The mass of all these witless new posters diluted the quality of content so much that most of the people who had been the ones who had generated the high quality of inventive and humorous posting to begin with were driven out and that only further exacerbated the dilution problem. 4chan now no longer generates new memes or original content at even a percentage of what it once did and all of that is because even though the barrier to posting here is nil, somehow or other people used to have enough pride and tact to not shit up the place with insipidness and that is clearly no longer the case.
That is why you should not be here, you are a parasite.
