The Immortal Jellyfish

I posted this on /X/ but thought it would go good on here too.
The other day i had a conversation with my friends boss. He's an athiest and was detemined to save up enough money to have a Piece of his DNA kept for future cloning. That way he can live after death.

I then told him that is basically the same as having kids since they come from your DNA and outlive you.

He then stated that he doesnt want his bloodline to live on but just his own self. His flesh and likeness.

I thought about the Immortal Jellyfish and asked him a question.

"If you could at any point in your life age down, from a man to a child and be born again, would you?"

He said yes since it is him being born again.
I then stated that it is the same as dying since the baby that is reborn would not be you again, but you replaced by a new baby.
So you would be dead without dying.

He then stated that there is a difference and that the baby born is not him dying but him living and cheating death.

Anyway this is what i wanted to ask you /X/

>Would you rather die or age to baby and be born again?

>Would that be the same as dying?

> Would the baby be you or something else?
