Yeah, the structure of the argument will be roughly the same in all cases, but I’ve graded assignments where two students will plug in numbers at the same moments in the intermediate part of a calculation and write out their results to the exact same number of sig figs and even write out the equations in the same locations on the page (e.g one equation at the top left, another at the top right, the next centrally below those two, etc). Almost nobody writes out their arguments in the perfect logically and linguistically minimal form in which all answers would be equivalent. Rather, people write out their answers in somewhat sloppy and inefficient, but correct, form, and if those sloppy inefficiencies are nearly identical for two students, they obviously worked together on the assignment. Honestly, it just sounds like you’ve never actually graded assignments, and you’re complaining because you got caught cheating like a dumbass
