>>13067456It's sad to see so many people under 30 who believe that the Earth will become Venus in their lifetimes. Even at the height of Al Gore's popularity, almost no one believed in the runaway greenhouse effect. Now it seems to be the dominate belief on climate change in the under 30 crowd. It's causing them much undue anxiety.
I wouldn't worry much about AOC and Greta. New York is losing a congressional seat due to the 2020 Census. The DNC will use this as an opportunity to slice AOC's district up among neighboring districts of congressmembers with strong bases of support. None of those members of Congress will take her lightly like the old Jewish guy she defeated did. She's done as a member of Congress after the midterms. She'll become a pundit on a network like MSNBC where she'll end up fading into the background.
Greta is a one trick pony novelty show. She was held up as representing the children of the world and speaking as their voice. She's an adult now so she will also fad away and be just another climate activist.
