So let's say there is a space station with two rings that spin in order to simulate gravity on board, like the one in the pic. Would those two rings have to be spinning in opposing directions or wouldt it not matter?

Also, how would fire spread in the spinning sections? In any particular direction relative to the direction of the spin or would the spin direction not matter in how the fire spreads?
