You know what would actually merit a peace prize? Finding a way to get every person on Earth to speak the same language. There are a lot of people that could legitimate could be described as trying to prevent war or create a more just world, or however you want to put it, but it's never those people who get the award. It's always whoever the media darling is that year. Obama, Yousafzai, etc. Look at what a joke the Presidential Medal of Freedom is.
Normal, well-intentioned people are not in the public eye in the first place and are not putting their names on their work. There is an attitude right now that anyone who wants to be Anonymous must have nefarious intentions, but unmasking everyone can only stifle creativity and free expression. You will never know who the real people are working behind the scenes are, that's just the way it goes.
As Will Smith said in Men in Black II, "and if no one know who he is, how can anybody ever love him?" If you want to make a difference, you can't care about credit.
