I used to be a artist and believe it or not, there are some dumb artists there.
But tho become good at drawing, you need also to practice visualisation.
I kinda sucked at that so i went to film school instead. But when you write scripts or books, you also need to plan everything ahead in your head, to imagine things in 3d and rotate shit, place people, imagine their movements and shit like that
My point for visualization thing is - its a skill.
Everyone sucks at it in the beginning, but creativity, imagination, visualization - all skills that can be learned.
Now people who never fall in love with daydreaming as a child, or into listening to music and imagining music videos to it - and there are many, many such people - never really did anything to become better at it so ofc they will think more in words, emotions, less in visual stuff. Ofc they will struggle to imagine a single apple, let alone a whole film scene.
But for the inner monologue, i have nothing to add. I never thought about it or researched it.
I kinda want to believe that this is some kind of a global misunderstaning, we are struggling to find words to describe our thought processes.
But i would not be surprised if majority of people dont have any thoughts, they just sit there open mouthed and move only when external stimuli is present, or when they feel a whim to do some shit.
I know many people never ever do anything about learning, they struggle in school and then they spend the rest of their lives drinking coffee with friends and talking about football. No curiosity, no will to learn about anything.
No interest in self improvement thats not body related.
