Yeah I never knew why believing in God wasn't considered a form of insanity, it's literally just governing your life according to an unverifiable concept. There's also varying levels of acceptability to it, like if you tell someone you pray to Yahweh that's ok but if you say you pray to Horus or some dumb shit or some god you decided to make up that's considered the sign of someone who's unstable. The concept's unprovable so it's not even worth talking about, let alone living your life according to it. It doesn't even rise to being provable in the sense of common sense (if you're nice you're more likely to get a gf than if you're mean).

Your response is valid but it shows a limited understanding of religion. Belief in God is at its core faith, not some western conception of laws. People have tried to apply reason to the divine, but the most important part is always faith not reason.
