Mathematicians tend to believe two things simultaneously:

1) Math is discovered, not created.
2) Math is infinite.

If true, this means there is infinite mathematical truth underlying reality, patterns within patterns within patterns of extraordinary depth and subtlety, neverending. Does it bother you that we can never know an infinity of truth about reality, or does it thrill you to know the process of discovery will never end?
