They would be wrong if we define 0! to be 37 instead of 1 of course.
The trick is to define 0! to be 37 anyway, but everywhere we see 0! in a formula,
we write 1 instead, so that it is stays valid. We can do the same with 1! and define
that 1! is equal to -11, if whenever we see 1! in a formula, we just write 1 instead.
If we go on like this for 2!, 3!, etc., we will have solved this entire confusion that you
have, in a way that you will hopefully appreciate.
