What inspired you?
As someone who has not been in the field of biology, what steps would best set a person on a path to editing insects, animals, humans, etc. What are some good sources or people to follow in this field if I want to leverage myself in the future industry of custom organisms. I have three things I want to do (1)incests specifically bees and creating resistance to human artificial insecticides and pollutants if possible. (2) computational biology projects (3) Psychoactive chemical production with fruits to fund me. Would it be easier to self study and do low scale, or would cucking myself into some large biotech company after years of formal education be a better source of income and equipment to leverage this industry since they're already investing millions into these kinds of projects?
Are Crispr Kits a meme? Will sequencing and design companies jew me out for custom strands? What kind of base cost will I be looking at to simply change complex organisms, I know you basically have to infect them with a virus to get the same information across all the cells.
