Starship is still not flying and it will not crew approved for quite some time. Also the concept of the spaceplane has existed for decades now, and is still relevant, it could be used to move just crew or as a scape pod.

1. you only need to inspect the heat tiles
2. inspecting the heat tiles can be automated
3. if you don't like what you see you can swap it out quickly because SpaceX are competent
4. 99% or more of all Starships launched will be unmanned
