person/persons that inspires, or that is
contributory to, the work that backs, or is
emulated by, the theorem. Or, you can use
a descriptive word/phrase that the theorem
emulates
(ex. umbral calculus; moonshine conjecture,...).
All this ensures that proper attribution and praise
gets directed to the right people including yourself.
And you'll be doing the originators a solid.
All this assuming you pass the conjecture
stage and not being told to piss off if it has any
merit to the problem at hand.
