Obviously there are not "at home" jobs, but there are more oppertunities for these things in rural areas. Others include teaching (if you're in uk go for an independent college/ A-level schools so you don't have to put up with younger peoples BS).
materials engineering - lots of smaller companies want these if you look for them. I was an MChem but became a materials engineer for a small foam manufacturing company - less pay than a graduate scheme, but I got real hands on, on the floor experience of a real materials production line and it was just a nice environment to work in (no "corporate adults")
