First, coffee makes you function at 120%. Then, you get used to it, and without it you don't function as well, but with it you are back too your 100%. Then, you develop a tolerance for that, and you're fucked up without it, and even with it you only function at 80% at most. Then, you develop even more of a tolerance, you perform at 50% at most and even with coffee, you don't perform any better and you're fucked, because you'll still depend on it (or think you do), while it does fuckall.
Having coffee once a week can have benefits, upregulate dopamine activity, but don't have it for work. Ideally, have it on a Friday recreationally after work, say, after 5pm and before 7:30pm at the latest. Don't use it for work, don't rely on it, don't have it long-term. Coffee is incredibly insidious.
