Several psychological and social science studies depend on self reported data - why is this considered scientific at all? Even with no incentive, people often lie or have flawed memory about past events. I just think it's silly to draw conclusions about human relationships or psychology from self reported surveys. It's better than nothing but what does that matter when the self reported data may not reflect reality?
