This is a problem for cells because misfolded proteins often aggregate, and the cell is not equipped to deal with these huge misfolded protein blobs.
The paper claims is that the Pfizer vaccine has RNA sequences that can cause the proteins TDP-43 and FUS to fold into prion states.
As to whether this is true, I haven't read the paper but I would be skeptical, as mRNA is inherently unstable, and I would have a hard time believing that the mRNA survives in the body long enough to do lasting damage.
