It's funny that our society has been racialized for centuries, and conservatives and white americans have been resisting change since the civil rights era (and even before that), but as soon as we started making real ground on racial issues and racial equality, now all of a sudden centrists don't see race and don't view race as an important issue? I don't see how that is being "insincere".
20 years ago centrists like you were siding with conservatives and complaining about things like affirmative action. More recently, centrist claim that they don't "see race" or that they don't support "identity politics". Now the tides of turned, and people are calling for racial justice, but centrists still refuse to address systemic racism. It's not really surprising, but the message is clear: centrists like you will always support the establishment, and will do whatever you can to prevent, real, meaningful, progressive policies from taking root.
