HOWEVER, you will need a dozen small sponge-tubes (or anything that utilises trichoids to ignore gravity) AND tiny "scoups" to transport water from the tip to a tank. The dripping water would come from the tank.
People actually do this, but instead of a sponge, they use the MOON
