I'm considering getting the Moderna vaccine. I was originally planning on waiting until I could get Novavax but after a few family members of mine got some pretty heavy symptoms from covid(four in hospital, one on ventilator then death also none were obese or smokers or very old or any comorbidities to my knowledge) coupled with the fact that my work brings me in contact with the elderly(I don't want to inadvertently kill anyone) from time to time it has made me reconsider.
I am a fat retard with not the healthiest lifestyle(mid 20s age and 28bmi but working on it, down 25lbs past 2 months working a mostly desk job with many many hours of sitting and not much activity) and I don't smoke. I had bronchitis/asthma as a kid and seasonal allergies that still continue. It's these things that make me feel as though if I did catch covid it could potentially be pretty fuckin bad.
I *really* dont like how the vaccines feel so rushed and the fact that they are rna as opposed to more traditional and tested means. I don't think there's some 5g microchip mind control fuckery afoot, but I do think that there's political motivations for pushing the vaccines as hard as they have been, along with media fearmongering ofc. From what I've read I don't think that it's a concern of vaccine killing the fuck out of me years from now out of the blue as much as it is fear that it could cause short term damage that WOULD get me down the line. Since I live a pretty sedentary lifestyle I could see increased blood clots being a concern.
Anyone have any advice? I'm working on changing my lifestyle for the better and getting out more(seasonal allergies make this a bit challenging currently), eating less etc.
