FDA did one, another one in Scotland, another in Israel. All showed 70 to 90% reduction in transmission. Probably have been other studies by now.

The places in the studies were already falling rapidly from peak rates prior to the vaccine. It will take a couple years to assess real data.

basic biology would tell you the answer. vaccination boosts immune system. vaccinated person gets infected. immune system responds appropriately with antibodies. viral loads are lowered below a normal infection. reduced symptoms of transmission (coughing, sneezing, etc.) and reduced viral load = greatly reduced transmission rate.

Because the body is a complex system. It would be irresponsible to use absolutes. I think "may" and "might" are probably bad terms to use though, since it gives the impression that it's less likely to be effective than ineffective.

because like i said, your immune system becomes better prepared for an infection after vaccinations. it is still POSSIBLE to become pretty damn sick if ur geriatric or immunocompromised but for the vast majority of the population they will see a huge reduction in symptoms if any. scientists try to avoid definitive statements unless the statistics reach 99.7% confidence even if its 80 or 90%.

Not enough data to state is as definitive. Some new study could come out showing they don’t prevent transmission but so far all the studies show reduction in transmission.

Not how they work.
A dead or weakened version of the disease is put present in the body for the body to build up antibodies against it, the vaccine does not boost it.
There is also difference between tradition vaccines and mRNA vaccines which should be called something else entirely so people stop getting confused.

i was giving tourists the laymens. also, all vaccines mRNA or not function the same fundamentally. they provide a surface antigen for antibody specificity, the novelty of mRNA is on how this spike protein is delivered.

Depends on what it is.
A disease could go dormant but still be able to be spread such as botulism.
So it might or might not reduce transmission.
What they say is that it won't reduce transmission but then what's the point of taking the vaccine in the first place.
You should always be cautious with new development as it could be worse then what it's trying to fight.
