It's false. Only one crew member flew back home. The other flights were new crew members who flew to the US to take the boat back. None of this was the fault of using of a renewable-powered sailboat, just the particular circumstances of this boat, which was a racing boat not meant for transportation.

Anon, it's the reality of pleasure yachts, which is what this boat is. The reality of pleasure yachting, a pastime for the rich elite, is that crewmen are constantly being flown around the world to support the activity. Pleasure yachts powered by renewable are little more than ways for the wealthy to virtue signal at other wealthy people, these ships do not address the emissions of the industries that support the operation of these yachts.

Also, this rich girl telling people to travel in yachts is the 21st century "oh they don't have bread? why don't they just eat cake instead?"

Anyway global warming is real, they have known this for practically 50 years now; the question is how exactly to deal with it?
The elite groups that control society want to make sure that the average person pays the price for decarbonising the economy, so that they don't have to sacrifice anything. They will get their hydrogen powered private jets and wild salmon and you will part lease a Tesla and eat GMO onions.
They create a massive campaign of guilt and fear so that regular working people don't push back against reductions in their quality of life like they should and instead feel responsible for maintaining the system that controls them.

No it wouldn't be opposed to commercial flights that serve many people in a set schedule, it would be opposed to the private flights she would have taken instead just to cater to her and her personal entourage.

I wasn't talking about just the pilots, but the whole crew like the flight attendants, not to mention that I omitted people like the control tower crew and the mechanics and runway traffic people.
