Can we achieve inmortality in our lifespan?
Is it possible to find a way to freeze ourselves in a way thay our brain is conserved? This way we will only have to wait until someone discovers the way to bring us back.
Or is better to research how to transfer our conscience?
Or is better to try to cure aging?
What do you think is the best way to achieve the eternity?
I dont give a fuck about the consequences, the normie doesn't have the money to do this procedure nor thinks about doing it. I just want to discuss if it is possible and if it is, what is the most plaussible method.

Such a thing is not possible, only making a very accurate copy of a person (so good that nobody can tell the original and the copy apart) and replacing a dead original with the copy. For everyone else, it walks, talks & acts just like you, but in reality it is not you, because you (the original) is dead

Yes, but still uncertain of how this can be achieved. Also, what do we do about resources? They are finite, but if death is preventable, then the amount of people will just keep growing endlessly. And if ultimately we have to allow a certain (significant) portion of humanity die, then what was the point of curing death to begin with it is unavailable to most people? Death is ultimately good, it allows to regulate a population while having limited resources. Also, it somewhat helps prevent evil, because ultimately even the evil ones die.

Honestly, this is beyond my knowledge. I think there is no true immortality, just very long living. I would bet on some kind of biological life extension.

you should. After all, life is only as good as we have it now (plentiful and easily obtainable food & water, warmth, light, etc) because society is not collapsed. If it collapses, it would be pretty much hell on earth.

Unknown. Current cryopreservation techniques look good at the tissue level, but we don't really understand how the information in our brains is stored and we could be fucking it up without knowing it. As an example, naturalists of the 1800's used to preserve animal specimens, including many now extinct species. The preservative they used was very effective at DNA degradation, making it hard to use these samples for genomic analysis. If they'd just dipped them in glycol and stuffed them in glaciers, we'd be cloning thylacines by now. But you don't know what you don't know.

In the long run, this is absolutely necessary. To love beyond a mere few thousand years you need to be in something more durable than flesh. But we do not have a meaningful technological roadmap to accomplish this. So we have to find something else to stay alive until that nut is cracked.

Biological life extension, followed by AI development, followed by automated massively scaled biological solving machines that are tasked with cracking the upload problem.

I suspect that the actual upload process will involve a period where an advanced interface allows our minds to grow into a digital substrate over time, while our old neurons are allowed to slowly die without replacement. It will be existentially analogous to how consciousness migrates from old dying cells to new stem cells. This avoids the "copy" problem, because the digital mind had a continuity of identity with the biological mind and no line can be discerned between them. The interface will require nanotechnology.

Please be more humanitarian. There is no reason for it to be expensive, and there's plenty of room in the future for everyone once we reach a digital substrate. You're best bet to reach the future is if others care enough about you to help make these technologies available to people like you, so you should do your part to promote that spirit and care about others too.

The only reason you feel like you are mentally the same person you were yesterday is because of continuous memories and psychological traits. No any kind of extra soul or absolute essence is required to explain that. Therefore even without "copying", we can say you are just someone who remembers most things the "yesterday you" remembered and acts in similar patterns - you aren't REALLY the same guy. On a mental level, when it comes to copies there's no difference. There's only bodily discontinuity.

if your most important attributes like memories and psychological traits are preserved, as they would be preserved in the copy or the uploaded mind or whatever you want to call it, you survive. what exactly failed to be preserved - anything anyone should care about?

In order to live, you need a continuation. Storing yourself in a computer is death (if possible). Only way is to maintain your body so that it doesn't fail. No heart failure, no "natural death". Allow your cells to keep working as good as it used to be. Keep cleaning the junk out of your body which might accumulate. This is the only way to maintain consciousness for as long as you don't die in an accident or get killed by someone/something else.

The brain is not some simple computer you can dump data out of. The physical structure of the human brain, down at the atomic level is what encodes your memories and behaviors. Its really not even remotely possible.

Maybe. There are a host of proteins that make tardigrades be able to esentially dehidrate themselfes, which allows them to hibernate under extreme conditions. However, we have more complex tissue, so it might not be possible for us.

This seems entirely possible, perhaps even within the next 100 years. It's your best bet. As we get better at targeting specific cell types, editing genes, understanding epigenetics, PIWI protenis and miRNAs, anti aging technology becomes more and more plausible.
