But then he made a big mistake. He proposed oil and gas pipelines, South and Nord Streams, that would bring cheap fuel to Europe. An important note here, the price of fuel is what drives all economies. The US has its own oil and gas and also has puppet states in the middle east, so the price of fuel in America is dirt cheap, so the economy is great. Europe does not, so despite the greater population than the US, the economy is worse. And if the proposed pipelines had been constructed, it would have meant a great economic boon for both EU and Russia, plus a strengthened union between both. Which would have been bad for the US, because it would give independence to the EU, which is now a puppet to the US. And would also stop the brain drain from EU to USA.
So in order to turn the EU against Russia, the CIA did the fuckery in the Ukraine, taking it out of Russia's influence.
