On top of this much of the approx 1600 billion USD of "Social Security and Medicare" is in fact welfare spending, such as the "Medicare for all" and other such programs.
In summary, space spending is just shy of 20 billion USD, welfare spending is somewhere between 1000 and 2000 billion USD.
There is clear, overwhelming evidence that welfare spending creates poverty and helplessness, the more you spend the higher the "need" for welfare becomes.
