>>13027562>>13027604>>13028885Lex sucks ass, for the most part. Rogan and Weinstein are slightly better. I actually like Weinstein a lot, at least when it comes to culture and politics, but his podcast doesn't directly engage with science. It's more like pop culture.
If you want actual science, the Dissenter interviews real academic, not celebrities or pop-sci folk, and all of the podcasts go fairly in depth. The content is more like what you'd hear at an academic conference. Each person has something different to say, and they talk about new, ongoing research in every episode. Also, the host is obviously academically literate and has a basic understanding of shit like math, philosophy, biology, etc., unlike Lex Fridman (inb4 he a published ML researcher - I know, but he still seems like a retard). You'll get to hear about new topics all the time. It's not just the same shit about Lex asking someone about the "meaning of life", or another pop-sci presentation of quantum mechanics. Also, Lex Fridman mostly has on like Silicon Valley/Tech people and pop sci writers, whereas the dissenter has on actual academics, many of whom are at the top of their respective fields.
