Dear /sci/. Long time lurker here (not of the better quality boards of but of /b/ and /pol/)
There is a myth that 4chan attracts smart people to post here. Is there any corraborating hard evidence ?
Asking people to fill in their own IQ by surveying whatever posters report is going to result in retarded data by just bias from people who think they are smart and want to prove it taking the test more, but also by people disliking admitting they are worse than they or the average is and a ton of other shit.
If the myth is true what are your theories on why such bias exists ?
Why make a post even?:
Yes i have an agenda for this post, and it is to tell you my hypothesis:
People enjoy the puzzle that is the chaotic nature of conversation that happens on imageboards. Just trying to make sense of the meta opinnions of boards is complex enough- learning how to talk to all the different kinds of people that post here (in a way where they dont just yell shill or ignore you complitely) is extremely hard. Could be im retarded since i find this hard anw.
Thoughts?
Is there any way of reducing that when analysing
